Autobiographical
In my first year of University, my first brief was autobiographical photography with a requirement that the images had to be shot on 5"x4" film. I developed many different way to represent myself in a single image.
The first image connotes that I make my own world and 'live life to the max.' I have showed this representing the Earth as a puzzle. The missing pieces represent events still to come in the future. The inhaler illustrates the effect upon my life of asthma and the constraints this condition places upon my life.
The second image of cogs connotes that I am a family person. Each cog represents a member of my immediate family. Their reliance upon each other illustrates metaphorically how we are all part of the same family and need each other to function successfully and smoothly.I choose to include a dark corner to show how even at the darkest of times, we are a team who work and support each other. The colourful background with an emphasis on a variety of colours connotes my bright and colourful personality.
